Hormones and existing health conditions can have a significant determining factor in how our bodies store and process fat. Some people are prone to putting on excessive weight, and more importantly, find it harder to lose that weight once it has been gained.
Healthy weight loss requires a hybrid strategy to be truly consistent and effective. Our strategy can include diet (healthy eating plan), exercise (cardio and/or strength training), and sometimes a medical intervention (like gastric bands).
Your doctor will be the best person to consult to make sure that your weight loss strategy is safe and healthy for you. Hypnotherapy can support and enhance your weight loss strategy.
I can help you to...
Identify your triggers, coping mechanisms and behavioural patterns that might lead to overeating
Strengthen your willpower to take action and keep on track for your weight loss journey
Provide positive suggestions through hypnotherapy that will help you to feel better about making healthy choices in all of the above areas
Chronic pain may develop after an injury or due to a medical illness. It is generally accepted that chronic pain is defined as a pain that lasts beyond normal healing and recovery time for a particular condition or injury. Pain for longer than a three-month period is considered to be chronic pain.
Chronic pain management is referring to a range of techniques that will reduce and control the amount of pain that a person is experiencing over the long term.
There can be many causes of chronic pain and those causes can be either physical or psychological, or combination of the two.
Because chronic pain has many different causes, it is recommended that any person suffering pain for a prolonged period of time should immediately seek medical consultation through a family doctor or specialist.
Finding the physical cause for some forms of chronic pain can be very frustrating and can be akin to finding a needle in a haystack. Hypnotherapy can help support this process and to develop an effective pain management strategy through hypnotic treatments.
I can help you to...
Develop an effective pain management strategy for your specific type of chronic pain
Focus on more positive thoughts and strengthen your belief system to support recovery
Implant positive suggestions through hypnotherapy to ease your pain response
Low confidence and low self-esteem can usually be attributed to a combination of nurture and nature as we are growing up. They can also be related to conditions that affect either our mental or physical health.
Typically individuals with low self-esteem have had a trauma event in their life that has made them feel self-conscious about their self-worth, or any physical differences they may perceive that they have compared to their peers.
Regardless of the cause of low self-esteem, the effects are very real and can leave an individual feeling ostracised (left out) from both social and professional activities. This can create an intense feeling of loneliness and isolation from both friends and family, workmates and colleagues.
I can help you to...
Get to identify the root cause of your low confidence or low self-esteem
Positively rewire your brain to be more receptive to feelings of positivity around your own self-worth
Improve your feelings toward your own body image
Grow your self-confidence and create a new, lasting, internal belief in your own growing, natural potential
Grief is something that every human being will suffer from at some point in their life. It is the experience of a powerful reaction to a sudden or significant loss. This is most common following the death of a loved one, but grief can also be experienced following other loss such as the breakdown of a relationship, loss of home, job or career, or discovering the inability to have children.
Grief is usually a healthy process and it is normal to have an accompanying period of mourning. The person that is grieving will often experience a range of emotions including disbelief, anger and loneliness.
It is expected that our brain will take its time to process the physical and emotional loss of someone (or something) dear to us. We all wonder how we will be able to move on without having their presence in our lives.
There are five stages of grief; denial, anger, bargaining, depression and then acceptance. These stages can be experienced in any order, but we will always arrive at acceptance. The period of time that it takes to reach acceptance varies for everybody.
Sometimes it's possible to experience an unhealthy amount of grief that can impact your ability to enjoy a happy life. Over time this can prevent the grieving person from reaching acceptance and allowing them to move on and enjoy new relationships or experiences.
I can help you to...
Get to the root cause of your grief
Create a more positive coping mechanism to allow you to reach acceptance
Implant positive suggestions through hypnotherapy that will help you focus on new opportunities and create a supportive mindset to enrich your everyday life
Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is typically characterised by the difficulty of falling asleep and staying asleep. There are many causes of insomnia, but it is usually stress or anxiety-related.
When insomnia goes untreated it can lead to sleep deprivation, which can lead to premature aging, taking years off a person's life expectancy. Other mental health issues like depression and stress can be caused by insomnia.
People that experience sleeplessness will find it extremely hard to concentrate on daily tasks and the mind will lack clarity of thought.
There are many other kinds of sleep disorders with similar consequences. These include sleep apnea, parasomnias (abnormal movements or behaviours during sleep), restless leg syndrome and narcolepsy.
It is important to seek medical treatment for any kind of sleep disorder as soon as you recognise that the sleep disorder becomes a prolonged pattern.
I can help you to...
Get to the root cause of your sleep disorder
Create deeper states of relaxation before sleep
Implant positive suggestions through hypnotherapy that help to slow down your mind
Encourage the use of your mind's "natural reset button" to recalibrate your sleeping patterns
Obsessive sexual behaviours including feelings, urges, or actions that are uncontrollable and impact your relationships, finances, or other areas of your personal or professional life are referred to as a sex addiction. Sex addiction is also sometimes referred to as hypersexuality.
Sex addiction is often accompanied by poor impulse control. People that are sexual addicts can often find themselves indulging in risky behaviours that can put their health at risk. This could include having unprotected sex with people that are known to have multiple partners, or making unsafe choices that put theirs or their family's ongoing health and welfare in danger.
I can help you to...
Understand the root cause of your sex addiction triggers
Identify your accompanying coping mechanisms
Strengthen your own internal resolve to make positive choices to improve the quality of your life
Implant positive suggestions through hypnotherapy that help to support better choices through improved self-esteem and personal confidence.
Bad habits can come in all shapes and sizes. Common examples of bad habits include overeating, smoking, drinking, drug use, or even extreme cases of procrastination.
A bad habit is any ritualistic thought or activity that consistently leads to negative outcomes. This could be either for the person that is performing that habit, or for the people closest to that individual.
Bad habits are formed over time, usually starting out as a coping mechanism to consciously or subconsciously reduce feelings of stress, boredom, anxiety or inadequacy. As those feelings grow, bad habits can increase in both intensity and frequency.
Even though the habit might be bad for us, it often provides some kind of release or stimulus of pleasure while being performed. If you have identified that your bad habits are reducing the quality of your life in way, that is more than enough justification to take action and cut these habits off before they end up taking control of your life.
Breaking bad habits requires time and effort.
I can help you to...
Identify the triggers for your bad habits and recognise the behaviours that lead to them
Get free from negative cycles by adopting new, positive, success-supporting routines
Implant positive suggestions through hypnotherapy that encourage your mind to focus on healthier habits and reduce the effect of existing unhealthy triggers
Establish healthier, positive coping mechanisms or actions including developing a success-supporting mindset
An addiction is usually caused by a past traumatic event, either physical or emotional (or both). The addiction is usually developed over time as a device to cope with a painful memory or traumatic event.
Typically an addiction starts off as a coping behaviour that gradually spirals out of control and can end up going from a casual pastime to the main priority in your life.
Addiction is usually something that you may try to hide from friends, family, colleagues and strangers alike. It can be very hard initially to be truthful about the extent of the problem.
Addicts or people exhibiting addict behaviour tend to downplay the frequency and quantity of their usage, and try to convince themselves that they are different to other addicts because they can still function while under the influence of their chosen poison.
This is usually true right up until the very last moment before the wheels all off their wagon. This could be them losing their job, significant relationships, their children or prized possessions.
I can help you to...
Identify the root cause of your addiction
Gain insight into the trigger patterns that you use to justify your addiction behaviours
Develop greater levels of internal resolve to create supportive thought patterns through positive hypnotherapy suggestions

Learn how to become a high-performing salesperson.
I have spent over 30 years in my life working for sales organisations at a national level. This includes three years working for New Zealand's leading sales training organisation, building relationships with New Zealand's top CEOs and General Managers.
I was so effective in getting past gatekeepers within organisations I was selling to that I earned the nickname "Spartacus" from the CEO of my own company.
A high-performing salesperson is someone who is able to:
Pick up the phone and get in touch with new clients and their key decision-makers
Build a rapid, friendly rapport with different types of personalities
Sell consultatively by asking the right questions at the right time
Sell on value
Employ empathy as opposed to sympathy on a sales call
Develop an unshakeable mindset and belief in both themselves and their ability to help their clients
Be driven and motivated internally as opposed to being influenced by external carrots (rewards)
Be an effective communicator
Carry themselves with professionalism and integrity at all times
Get past the need to be liked or loved by their clients and ask the hard questions
If you're currently making a living as a salesperson, I'm sure you'll agree that most salespeople perform exceptionally well in some of these areas.
You'll also be able to identify at least one of the above areas where they have room to improve. This will be impacting their earnings, as well as their career potential.
I can help you to...

Develop new beliefs and strengthen your sales willpower through suggestive hypnotherapy
Develop a success-oriented mindset to hang in there on those tough, important calls that will help you land new clients

Completely overhaul your sales strategy, or fine tune just a few areas. Every coaching session is custom-tailored to your individual needs.
Athletes are often blessed with complementary genetics for the sports that they are competing in. For example they can develop fast twitch or slow twitch fibres more easily than others, or be born with a better sense of balance or faster hand-eye coordination.
They typically find themselves with a natural aptitude for one or more fine motor skills and desired coordinations that make competing in a particular sporting endeavor easier when compared to a non-athlete.
However, a high-performing athlete in any sporting discipline will also possess fierce levels of determination, crystal clear focus and an abundance of self-discipline. They are usually developed further throughout their youth to achieve optimum performance.
If you're a high-performing athlete, you're going to experience a performance plateau at some point in your life, whether the root cause is physical or psychological, or even a combination of the two.

Most people that regularly suffer from stress and anxiety are prone to operate under conditions of exaggerated perfectionism, OCD, and may be governed or controlled by subconscious fears of failure to live up to their own expectations or those of the ones they love and respect the most.
These fears can be rational or irrational, and it's important that we establish the difference between the two. Under this self-imposed, heavyweight operating system, the brain can be constantly double or triple-checking things over and over again because we are afraid of making mistakes.
All of this over-checking can create fatigue (both mental and physical) and can reduce your ability to live in the moment and to simply enjoy the activities that you're engaged in.
I can help you to...
Get to the heart of your stress and anxiety
Create an ideal set of healthy, positive, affirming hypnotherapy suggestions to reduce your stress and anxiety levels
Provide you with a happier, more relaxed mindset
Reduce chronic fatigue
Create a better quality of life for yourself by working from the inside, out.

Low mood can make it very challenging to create or maintain personal connections of a loving and/or professional nature.
Depression can manifest itself while we're growing up through physical imbalances in the brain. Sometimes depression can even occur through allergic reactions to chemical additives in many of our favourite foods (including supermarket offerings or takeaways).
I can help you to...

Resolve and overcome the cause of your depression through custom hypnotherapy suggestions
